He is the manager and executive head chef of Legendary Chicken, which specializes in fried chicken.
“We sell a variety of foods, but we’re known for our chicken,” Wong said. “It’s artisanal, hand-crafted and Halal certified. We even have a few vegetarian items, just in case.”
He said the store is in the spirit of street culture due its grab-and-go style and its emphasis on quick, but delicious meals.
“It’s a small store, but we do have that street-culture feel” Wong said.
Wong has been providing meals to members of the local senior community during the pandemic.
“I was able to help out the senior community here get food,” he said. “I was servicing about 400 seniors every day. At the beginning, it was overwhelming.”
Wong said he plans to keep helping out his community while serving delicious fried chicken.
“With this unforeseen pandemic, together is the only way we can go through this,” Wong said. “The light is coming.”
