Well good news bobblehead fans, now you can get your very own Governor Andrew Cuomo bobblehead to add to your collection!
That’s right, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum (that would be in Milwaukee if any of you are looking to take a road trip when this whole coronavirus thing passes) is selling Cuomo bobbleheads.
And Cuomo isn’t the only one. You can also own governors Andy Beshear (Kentucky), Gavin Newsom (California), Gretchen Whitmer (Michigan); JB Pritzker (Illinois); Mike DeWine (Ohio), Phil Murphy (New Jersey) and Tony Evers (Wisconsin).
The entire set of eight will only set you back $200, or you can just pick up your favorite for $25.
According to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s website, the bobbleheads aren’t actually approved by the governors. Who knew you could just make a bobblehead with somebody’s likeness and not actually get their approval?
The museum claims that they chose which governors to create based on customer requests. Yes, there are actually people out there who were clamoring for a bobblehead of Governor Andrew Cuomo.
In fact, on the museum’s website you can request other public figures you would like to see get the official bobblehead treatment. So it there is someone you always wanted to see in bobblehead form, make a request.
Who knows, maybe you’re not alone and enough people share your passionate vision and your idea will actually become a real-life, honest-to-goodness bobblehead.
The museum is donating $5 from every gubernatorial bobblehead to the American Hospital Association’s Protect the Heroes Campaign to support the 100 Million Mask Challenge, so we guess you will be supporting a good cause in addition to getting a new showpiece for your bookcase or mantle.
Think of all the comments you will get during your next Zoom meeting when people notice your Governor Andrew Cuomo bobblehead shimmying and shaking on a shelf over your left shoulder.
We assume they will all be positive!
