This marks the eighth consecutive year that the United States Tennis Association (USTA) has hosted the kiosk.
Available at the kiosk is a new magazine and interactive website created by the Queens Chamber of Commerce featuring the best places to enjoy the unique culinary and hospitality options in Queens.
“My duty is to support the businesses in Queens County,” Grech said. “To buy local and shop local is really important.”
Volunteers at the kiosk will also be handing out Queens-themed items and advice on how to maximize one’s time in Queens.
Grech is hopeful that the kiosk will boost tourism to make sure that the economic ripple effect from the U.S. Open stretches from Astoria to Jamaica.
