Sometimes all you need to jump into a new year is a stunning fireworks display, a comedy show or a good party. While millions will be crammed into Times Square waiting for the ball to drop, there are tons of exciting events around Queens and Brooklyn.

So don’t forget to party the night away and ring in 2019!

New Year’s Eve Party 2019! Mon, December 31 - 8 pm - Italian Charities of America, 83-20 Queens Blvd., Elmhurst - Join the Italian Charities of America for their annual New Year’s Eve Celebration.

Tickets are $65 per person, includes a full Italian hot buffet, one complimentary glass of wine, a bottle of champagne for the table, a cup of coffee, a cup of tea and dessert.

QED's New Year's Eve Spectacular

Get your NYE evening started off the right way with comedy and grub from the city's best. The comedians you will see have been hand selected by QED staff and surely won't disappoint. You've already probably seen them on your TV set so be sure to catch them live and in person!

Comedians featured include Christian Finnegan (Comedy Central), Myq Kaplan (Conan) and Usama Siddiquee (BET). The event will be hosted by Lauren Hope Krass. The 10 p.m. show will include a champagne toast and live screening of the NYE ball drop in Times Square. Tickets are $30.

Prohibition Disco: New Year's Eve

Mon, December 31 - 9 p.m. - House of Yes, 2 Wyckoff Avenue, Bushwick - Dress in your best vintage and glamourous clothes and gamble the night away with wise guys and wild women. This Prohibition Disco will feature champagne toasts, burlesque, a glitz and glamour makeup staton, women of ill repute, prohibited punch and bathtub gin specials and more.

Move to the grooves of their speakeasy selectors, alongside Gangsters and Goons, Daddies and Dolls, Bootleggers and Broads. Musical guests include Kidnap (f.k.a. Kidnap Kid), Mira Fahrenheit and Mike Swells. This event is 21+ and ranges from $40 to $100.

New Year's Eve Brewery Bash Mon, December 31 - 10 p.m. - Brooklyn Brewery, 79 N.11th Street, Williamsburg

For those 21+, ring in the new year in a brewery! The Brooklyn Brewery will feature live music, an open beer bar and tons of fried chicken.

NYE Fireworks in Prospect Park

Mon, December 31 - 10:30 pm - Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park

This family-friendly fireworks display, now in its 39th year, attracts tens of thousands of revelers to Prospect Park, making it one of the city's most popular celebrations.

This free event includes live entertainment, followed by fireworks at the stroke of midnight. The best places for viewing are along Prospect Park's West Drive and between Grand Army Plaza and 9th Street. The event is free.
