Dear Editor,

What is going on in Queens? Everywhere you look another big building is going up.

I live in Rego Park and drive down Queens Boulevard often, and all I see are stores gone and another building going up. How many new buildings are going up in Woodside, Sunnyside, Long Island City, Rego Park and beyond?

One-family houses are now being replaced with two- or three-family houses ruining the neighborhoods.

Where are all these people who are going to live in these buildings going to park their cars? Where are all these people going to find transportation to get to work? Where are their children going to go to school? Where are they going to go shopping when all the stores are gone?

The schools are overcrowded now. The trains and buses are already filled to capacity. Traffic is a nightmare, and what can you say about parking?

Then you have the water, garbage, infrastructure etc.,

What are politicians thinking to let all these buildings be built? I would like to just see one politician stand up and say "enough is enough."

We cannot keep doing this anymore to Queens. Stop the building.
