The festival showcases electroacoustic music and video art from around the world.
Organizers stated that the festival will include presentations of surround-sound music in up to sixteen channels, works involving new and customized electronic music instruments, works combining musical instruments and voices with electronic sounds, video and multimedia works, and audio and video installations.
Performers will include Laura Venditti, saxophonist, Sam Kelder, violist, Wayla Chambo and Margaret Lancaster, flutists, Marianne Gythfeldt, clarinetist, Maja Cerar, violinist, and Madeleine Shapiro, cellist. Video artists to be in attendance are Mark Zaki, Shalom Gorewitz, Maurice Wright, Marc Ainger, Ari Frankel, Patricia Martinez, and Jeffrey Hass.
According to the festival organizers, more than 200 composers from Europe, the Americas, and Asia will be presented, representing the full international range of electroacoustic music.
Americans artists include Maurice Wright, Alice Shields, Mark Zaki, Fred Szymanski, Orlando Garcia, Kirsten Volness, Eric Chasalow, Jeffrey Hass, Marc Ainger, and Christopher Cook, while international artists include Wuan-chin Li, Xin Biao, Gustavo Adolfo Delgado, Patricia Martinez, and Giorgio Nottoli.
The first half of the festival was which began on Monday, June 19 and is still ongoing at the Abrons Art Center, Experimental Theater in Manhattan, featured artists such as Ethan Hayden, Won Lee, Tyler Entelisano, Zack Pentecost, Amanda Stuart and Johannes S. Sistermanns.
