Do as I say, not as I do, applies to Councilman Ben Kallos of Manhattan.
He is proposing legislation dealing with political patronage at the Board of Elections. It would require online job postings 14 days before interviews are conducted.
Will this also apply to the hundreds of political patronage jobs directly controlled by council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and her faithful fellow 50 Council members? Ditto for several thousand more collectively controlled by Mayor Bill de Blasio, Comptroller Scott Stringer and Public Advocate Letitia James.
Don't count on it.
