More than a name

Dear Editor,

Anheuser-Busch announced that from May 23 to November 8 its Budweiser brand is changing the name on their cans and bottles from Budweiser to America, apparently to profit from this year's presidential election.

In my view America is not just the name of our country, but what it represents. In my opinion, those who come to America come here for what America has to offer and that is freedom of speech and the opportunity to create a better way of life.

I guess patriotism can be sold as an economic commodity. Can freedom and democracy be sold so these high ideas have no meaning and are no longer sacred?
