This week we will celebrate Christmas, as well as continue celebrating Hanukah.

As in every year since the Woodhaven Business Improvement District’s inception 21 years ago, we have endeavored to make every holiday season better than the last. The Christmas lights shine brightly along our Woodhaven Business Improvement District from Dexter Court to 100th Street. Also, the shoppers hum and sing along with the Christmas music on the avenue.

Forest Parkway Plaza is beautifully decorated. Our artificial tree and our new real little tree are adorned with beautiful lights. (Rockefeller Center has nothing on us!) And all of the gifts that the children asked our WBID Santa for as they sat on his lap the past two Saturdays wearing their Red Santa Hats, he promised he’d deliver.
So, now, enjoy your holiday, young and old with your families and loved ones. Then give special thoughts of those who are not home with their families for the holidays.

Sadly, two of New York’s Finest will never be home again: officers Rafael Ramos and Wen Jian Liu. Our hearts are broken for their families for their tragic loss. We have always thanked and supported our NYPD for keeping us safe and now we thank these two brave men for their ultimate sacrifice.

May God bless these two NYPD’S Finest and their families. May God bless the brave and honorable men and women of our armed forces fighting for our way of life, especially this time of year so far from home. May God bless the honorable men and women of our NYPD. And May God bless our America
