As I stated in my previous article, Bobbi and the Strays, a truly great no-kill animal shelter, held its annual fundraiser recently, which was a good party for a good cause.

Well the partying continued. This past Saturday, the Ozone Park Kiwanis Club held its second annual Masquerade and Costume Ball. The club was king enough to honor me in recognition of my 46 years of community service.

This was a very beautiful evening and for the good cause. The Kiwanis of Ozone Park focuses on “changing the world, one child and one community at a time"

I received a beautiful plaque presented to me by club president Victor Rodriquez, a plaque from the GWDC/WBID Staff, and a special first "Legacy Award" from the GWDC. All of the plaques were made right her in Woodhaven at Capo Trophies. Owner Paul Capocasale, also an Ozone Park Kiwanis Club member, outdid himself.

A really classic journal was also distributed, a work of art produced by Beat the Clock Printing of Woodahven by Frank Castelli, also an Ozone Park Kiwanian.

I would like to thank the Ozone Park Kiwanis Club for this very memorable evening, beautiful plaque, beautiful journal and all of those that advertised in it, and all of the accolades from those that attended especially GWDC President Stephen Esposito and my wonderful staff.

It was a warm and classy event that I will remember always.

Please vote on Tuesday November 7, for those that will support Woodhaven. There is also a very important proposition on the ballot for or against a Constitutional Convention. Don't forget to vote on this too.

Fly our American flag proudly above all others. May God bless our armed forces, may God bless our leaders, may God bless our disabled veterans, may God bless our NYPD and police officers everywhere, and may God bless America.
