Dear Editor,

Borough President Melinda Katz's narrow victory is no cause for celebration.

She's a career politician and Democratic Party machine marionette who ran for district attorney to remain in politics now that term limits will force her from her current job.

Opponent, Tiffany Caban is an alt-left lunatic and felon-friendly snowflake who said that most criminals are not responsible for their crimes.

But Queens voters have one last ray of hope if Greg Lasak runs as a Republican or independent candidate in November's general election. He's clearly the most qualified of all the primary candidates.

He served for 24 years in the Queens district attorney’s office, where he created the Domestic Violence Unit. Lasak was elected as a Queens County judge in 2003 and re-elected in 2017.

He retired from his secure job earlier this year, though he wouldn't face re-election for another 13 years.

Lasak was endorsed by the New York Post, State Court Officers Association and all of the police unions. The Queens Bar rated him "well qualified" for the.

Queens residents deserve the best qualified top prosecutor, not a party hack or a woke joke.
