The New York Racing Association (NYRA) unveiled its improvements to Aqueduct racetrack last week during a tour with State Senator Joseph Addabbo and assemblywoman-elect Stacey Pheffer-Amato.

The Aqueduct’s renovations were a result of $15 million in capital investments by NYRA since 2013. In particular, the improvements added the new horseman’s lounge, additional seating, and over 500 new televisions.

According to Kay, the renovations were part of NYRA’s focus on enhancing their overall experience for guests.

“We want to treat everyone like they are a guest in our home when they come to any one of our three tracks,” said NYRA president Chris Kay.

Addabbo expressed his satisfaction with the improvements.

“Mr. Kay’s vision of seeing that there was a need to improve Aqueduct for the community was a breath of fresh air,” he said. “So we appreciate the change and the course of action.”
