Children of the first generation acted, lived, and worked compared to todays generation.
After World War 2, many families got married and had children. These children grew up where mostly both parents had to go to work to make ends meet. So it was extremely common for 12 year olds worked delivering for a butcher shop, drugstore, have a paper route, and or worked in a Deli back then. Whether you came from a large family or even if you were an only child.
Very common in deed to work at early ages. Very common to have been drafted when they turned 18 years of age. If fortunate enough to come back in one piece from a War, it was back to work again. Till today men from that era are still working at ages of 65-75 years old. Reason being you can not just live on Social Security. And if you collect a pension social security it still may not be enough with todays bills.
These young people may have gotten married and had kids, and are still trying to help their children in many ways. However, their children, today are not thinking at all or thinking correctly. What I mean is many still live at home with parents. Many are in their early 30's and approaching their 40's but they are not working. They didn't want cars at 18 years of age like the first generations did. They care less about having money in their pockets, or trying to help their parents out with paying some bills. They are just existing day by day. Help from parents, aunts and uncles, or whoever.
Sad state and World they live in. No jobs, no car, No pensions, No social security build ups, No real savings accounts,etc.. Guilty! Whether a single parent or a couple having their own young adults living this way in their homes. No guidance, just everything is fine and normal hanging around all day. Of course the parents are probably still going to work, otherwise how can their large young adults eat Thanksgiving, or any other meals during the week?
No Shame! No mind of their own. No wants or needs. So what does this tell you? There has to be something wrong with this young adults but also with their parents for allowing this to continue their lives this way. With water bills, electric bills, television bills, heat bills, cell phone bills, property tax bills, food bills, clothing bills and most importantly medical bills, how on earth can they come up with $3,000 dollars per month if the parents die all of a sudden. Even if the parents owned a house free and clear, how can anyone come up quickly with $3,000 per month, or $750 dollars weekly, with no work experience at all.
Note* More foreclosures now than in the history of the Real Estate Market* More assistant living, food stamps, etc. than in the history of America today in these times.
