Is it cold enough for you? Well, it will get colder and the heavier snows will come, so bundle up and know that there is one dependable force that we can count on.

That is our Sanitation Department. They are always there for us. If there is a monumental clean-up to be done, snowstorms or New Year's Eve at Times Square, “New York’s Strongest” are there. Our Woodhaven is so fortunate that we have these men and women, many who live among us in Woodhaven, working on our behalf.

Now back to more of our Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation and Woodhaven Business Improvement District 2015 Wish List, which include the purchase of two signs to be placed on at Dexter Court and 100th Street along Jamaica Avenue.

These two-sided signs will declare when you enter Woodhaven and when you leave to differentiate our area of Jamaica Avenue. It has always been our aim to make our stretch of Jamaica Avenue stand out as clean and graffiti free with vibrant stores and businesses on our “Everything Avenue.”

Sometimes we tend to take our Woodhaven’s Jamaica Avenue for granted. Woodhaven’s Jamaica Avenue is special and our appearance and activities are special, so Woodhaven be proud.
