Together, M.I.A and Loveridge bring you through the the first hand experiences of what it means to be the daughter of a Tamil resistance fighter during the Sri Lankan Civil War, a refugee, an immigrant and eventual a musical star. The film displays M.I.A's multi-cultural and artistic identities as she shares her thoughts and feelings as a first generation immigrant/refugee and how it has impacted her life.
